Fondazione Giovanni Guastalla

Identity
The visual identity developed for the Guastalla Foundation stems from the need to merge institutional formality with conceptual tension, creating a visual language that reflects the Foundation’s artistic vocation. The system is built on a minimal and structured aesthetic, centered around a few key elements: a color palette dominated by lapis lazuli blue, a hue historically tied to art and the preciousness of creative expression; a geometric logotype that evokes the visual codes of twentieth-century institutions, while playing with perception and inviting ambiguity, turning the mark itself into a visual experience; and a sober, straightforward typographic approach based on the DM Sans typeface. The result is a visual identity that is clear, essential, and contemplative, designed to support the dialogue between Art and the public, between form and meaning.

Digital
The website of the Giovanni Guastalla Foundation was designed as a digital extension of the Foundation’s identity: an essential, orderly, and contemplative space where art and information coexist in balance. Its minimalist structure enhances both visual and textual content, offering a browsing experience that is smooth, accessible, and out of the ordinary.
